About the session
The infrastructure investment gap is widening due to COVID-19 impacts, and with the need to rapidly invest to reach net zero, it is urgent that we tap the still-unrealised potential of technological innovation.
Our research shows that if technology and innovation could realise just a 10% saving on investment, the resulting USD9.4 trillion of benefits would fill more than 60% of the investment gap. But we've also found that scalable adoption is being held up by a lack of financing and incentives. These barriers can be significantly minimised by de-risking infrastructure technology (InfraTech) for investors and end users alike.
On 17 November we will host the webinar Financing InfraTech for the Climate Transition to explore solutions to galvanise InfraTech adoption at scale. Our expert panel will discuss:
- What makes InfraTech investible
- How to de-risk technology and mobilise more investment into InfraTech, specifically in the context of the climate transition.
The discussion will include practical approaches and insights on how governments can encourage and enable de-risking of their technology at all stages of development through better funding, financing and partnerships.
