On 2 June 2022, the Investor Leadership Network welcomed 34 new fellows to its Sustainable Infrastructure Fellowship Program.
Created in 2018, this executive leadership program offers academic and practical training to public-sector officials in emerging market government ministries, municipalities, organisations, and agencies charged with the development, financing, and operation of infrastructure.
By better aligning the expectations of private investors with planners, the program seeks to address long-term demand for new infrastructure that can serve the social and economic needs of developing countries, respond to the impacts of climate change, and assist in attracting private capital where public funding is scarce.
There were 63 applicants to the 2022 program, with women accounting for 40% of the successful cohort. This year’s fellows represent a wide range of countries, including India, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Philippines, South Africa, Kenya, Georgia, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan.
The GI Hub is proud to return as a sponsor and we wish the fellows all the best in the 2022 program. The 2022 Fellowship Program runs from June to December 2022. To learn more about the program, read the ILN media release.
