On 3 and 4 August, the Global Infrastructure Hub shared panel discussion with government and private sector executives at the Centre for Aviation’s Asia Pacific Summit 2016. Speaking at the Airport Innovation Summit on 3 August, the panel reviewed the international and domestic market policy settings to support additional infrastructure investment for the transportation sector in the Australia Pacific region, as well as how airports are adopting and benefiting from innovative new technologies.
On the following day the GI Hub shared a panel discussion at Australia Pacific Aviation Summit to debate the hot topics facing international aviation in the year ahead. The GI Hub supported the growth of the long haul low cost carriers in the region through furthering liberalisation of air transport markets, and highlighted the strong institutional capacity existing in Australia to support its air international markets.
