We’re excited to introduce Durophalt as one of the top 5 solutions submitted to our Call for Submissions for technology solutions to realise sustainable roads in emerging markets.
Developed by UK-based CNRG Technologies, Durophalt replaces traditional asphalt repair processes. By reducing emissions and prolonging road lifespans, it provides governments and decisionmakers with a more sustainable and economical road maintenance solution.
Designed for the harshest climatic conditions, highly trafficked environments, and warmer climates where temperatures remain high throughout the year, Durophalt is spray-applied and enables aggregates to be re-used. This reduces the need for new raw materials, diverts waste from landfill, and contributes to a more sustainable road infrastructure lifecycle.
Durophalt offers at least a 75% cost reduction, 90% user disruption reduction, and up to 95% less carbon emissions when compared to traditional repair processes.
The Durophalt technology has been applied to more than 2.5 billion square metres of asphalt around the world including in Germany, France, Italy, the UK, the US, India, China, and the Middle East.
