Officials from the Korean Ministry of Strategy and Finance officials and the Korea Development Institute (KDI) met with the GI Hub in Sydney on 14 December 2016 for discussions during their study visit to Australia on Public-Private Partnerships in infrastructure.
The discussions focused on the joint research topics which the GI Hub has been undertaking with KDI, and on the GI Hub’s Project Pipeline database, which the Korean government is supporting.
Mark Moseley, a Senior Director of the GI Hub, outlined the research that the GI Hub is doing for the KDI on the subjects of PPP renegotiation and insolvency and asset recycling initiatives in Australia.
In addition, Senior Director Richard Timbs discussed the launch of the Project Pipeline, including how private parties and governments have responded to this initiative. The GI Hub launched the free Project Pipeline, an online interactive platform providing key data for the private sector on government infrastructure projects across the globe, last December.
