The GI Hub today signed a memorandum of understanding with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) to facilitate an information sharing agreement between the two organisations.
GI Hub CEO Chris Heathcote said that the MoU will prove to be mutually beneficial and will assist both organisations in the effective delivery of their respective mandates.
“The HKTDC has over 50 years of experience in helping Hong Kong’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) connect with business clients and partners around the world,” Mr Heathcote said.
“Of particular interest to the GI Hub is the HKTDC’s market intelligence on China’s ambitious Belt and Road Initiative.”
Raymond Yip, Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC, said: “Infrastructure development is a key objective of the Belt and Road Initiative. We hope our collaboration with GI Hub will further promote international cooperation on Belt and Road projects as well as Hong Kong’s unique advantages as a services and information hub for the Initiative.”
