GI Hub staff recently visited Astana, Kazakhstan as part of their country outreach activities.
GI Hub Senior Director Richard Timbs and Principal Advisor Rahadian Zulfadin met in late July with senior officials and executives from federal and city Public-Private Partnership bodies, key government ministries, and state owned enterprises, as well as the Mayor of Astana.
A key discussion point in the meetings was the potential for PPPs to be developed in Kazakhstan in the coming 18 months and a desire on the part of federal and city officials to attract the interest of private sector investors.
