Yesterday, the GI Hub was delighted to welcome the 2022 cohort of the third Africa Infrastructure Fellowship Program (AIFP) in Paris, France. The seven-week capacity-building program trains African civil servants in project finance and delivery, supporting them to improve economies, environments, and communities in Africa through infrastructure.
The intensive, on-site program strengthens the fellows’ skills and creates a network for knowledge sharing, this year the cohort includes 19 fellows from 16 African countries.
Our Director of Infrastructure Knowledge and Leading Practices, Maud de Vautibault welcomed the fellows at the École des Ponts ParisTech and provided a global perspective on infrastructure investment and an overview of GI Hub infrastructure knowledge resources. As part of the program, GI Hub will host multiple workshops for the cohorts, sharing knowledge on innovating funding and financing for infrastructure, improving infrastructure delivery models, and risk allocation and negotiation.
The GI Hub is pleased to be a key partner of this unique and enriching capacity-building program, and wishes the 2022 fellows all the best for the weeks ahead.
Our twice-monthly newsletter shares the latest news from across the infrastructure ecosystem, and notifies you of new initiatives and tools from the GI Hub.
