The Global Infrastructure Arms Race

At their recent Annual Meetings in Washington, World Bank and International Monetary Fund leaders discussed some key global issues; namely the global economic outlook and how to feed a growing global population.  

Against this backdrop, Chris Heathcote, GI Hub CEO, Marty Klepper, Executive Director of the Build America Bureau and the Honourable Joe Hockey Australia’s Ambassador to the United States, addressed an audience of infrastructure leaders on the importance of meeting the global infrastructure need.

Highlighted in this discussion was the United States and its infrastructure investment gap of $3.8 trillion; the largest gap globally. With countries like China, Australia and Canada implementing strategies to increase infrastructure investment, where does this leave the U.S.?
