Is the United States losing the infrastructure race against China?

With a gap of $3.8 trillion, the United States has the biggest infrastructure investment gap globally. By contrast, China is forecast to invest an estimated $26.5 trillion into infrastructure up to 2040, which is only $1.9 trillion shy of the estimated investment needed.
