APEC economies endorsed the APEC Guidebook on Quality of Infrastructure Development and Investment (Revision) . It is the first attempt in APEC to compile the key elements in development and investment of quality infrastructure including transparency, openness, economic efficiency and fiscal soundness. The revision of the Guidebook aims at promoting quality infrastructure projects in the Asia-Pacific region as a whole. It is not aimed at any specific investors or host economies. The revised Guidebook lists key actions in each phase of quality infrastructure projects, such as identification, procurement, operation, and completion. It contributes to economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region as a whole through realizing quality infrastructure projects. The Japanese Government encourages the use of the Guidebook by APEC economies through various initiatives including human resource development support to host economies. Publication Date: 12.11.2018
