An updated Checklist on Long-term Investment Strategies and Institutional Investors stresses on issues related to the identification of long-term investment needs. It is assumed that governments will need to partner with the private sector to meet some of the need for long term investment now and in future due to constraints on the government budget. So this section also raises questions as to whether there is sufficient interest and adequate capacity in the domestic market to provide financing for these needs.
