In September 2015, the General Assembly adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and emphasizes on a holistic approach to achieve sustainable development for all. The newly implemented 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development holds a deep promise for persons with disabilities everywhere. Each of these 17 goals have specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years. These goals aim at ending poverty, protecting the planet and ensuring prosperity for all, reducing inequality and many more.
